‘Twas the night before Feve, when all through the Bend
Friend groups were gossiping on who would attend
Crop tops and skirts chosen, buttons downs firmly pressed
Ready for Thursday night to be better than the rest
Domers and Belles lay excited in bed
While visions of Bud Lights and cranberry vodkas danced in their heads
With your BFF in her stilettoes, and you by her side
You envision the front bar where you will be eyed
When from the side entrance arose such a sight,
It’s that cute boy you met at Crossings the other night.
Away to the bathroom us girls flew like a flash,
Of course a needed hair touch-up dash.
The smell of sweat and perfume settled over the crowd,
With the sound of the music becoming increasingly loud.
When, what to our wondering eyes should appear…
That cute boy walking over with a large cup of beer.
With a what up, a smirk, and side arm hug,
I knew in that moment I must take a big chug.
More rapid than Marky Mark; his friends, they all came.
He laughed and smiled and introduced them by name.
As he said their names, I knew it didn’t matter,
At feve your memories grow incredibly scattered.
The girls exchange looks and to the dance floor you walked,
So you and your girlfriends can continue to rock.
Time for another drink and the girls all agreed,
It’s that liquid courage that everyone needs.
As I drew in my drink and was turning around,
I look to the stairs to see the boys filing down.
We talked, we laughed and we had a great time,
But one reoccurring thoughts runs through all the girl’s minds:
Do we party on at Crossings or do we head back to Smick?
Us Saint Mary’s girls made up our mind real quick.
Pizza and cuddling sounds like a winner,
Specifically because we cant remember if we even had dinner.
We hug the boys and walk to the door,
And told them the weekend has much more fun in store.
We rode to Saint Mary’s, singing Beyoncé all the way back
Going over every convo and every other fact.
After the pizza is eaten, we lay in bed with delight.
We think “Merry Feve to all, and to all a good night!”
