You can’t end 2016 without a challenge.
Almost every year on social media there is some sort of “challenge” that groups of friends come up with and post a video. This summer there was the “Huh Challenge” and now it is the “Mannequin Challenge”.
For those who do not know the “Mannequin Challenge” it is simply a challenge where people stand still in a pose just like a fashion mannequin that you may see in one of your favorite clothing stores, but you can add your own personality to it. The challenge is becoming so popular that First Lady Michelle Obama participated along with NBA superstars LeBron James and J.R. Smith.
Some participants add music to the background with the main theme of artist Rae Sremmurd’s song “Black Beatles”, which they compare their fame to the rock band “The Beatles”. The song and challenge broke out quick to the point where the original Beatle member, Paul McCartney, participated in the challenge as well.
Though the challenge is still fresh and new, there is another challenge surfacing already called “Andy’s Coming” in which participants act normal and then fall to the floor reenacting the toys from the Disney movie “Toy Story” when Andy is approaching his room.
Who knows what 2017 has in store for us, just know that there will be many more challenges sure to come.
