One of the main reasons I moved to San Francisco was for the food. So when my friend told me about a place that served amazing breakfast sandwiches, I naturally had to try one. Located on Noriega Street, the Devil’s Teeth Baking Company is only a short bus ride (you can take the 18 or the 29) from SF State. The bakery is pretty small on the inside but there is plenty of room to eat at the tables outside of the bakery — or walk just two blocks and eat on the beach. Devil’s Teeth sells more than just food, though. They have a bookshelves where everything is five dollars, and Devil’s Teeth T-shirts and sweatshirts.

When I got there at noon I was overjoyed to discover that their breakfast sandwiches are sold all day. I choose to get their special, a breakfast sandwich served on a buttermilk biscuit with scrambled eggs, melted provolone cheese, crispy bacon and avocado. The whole thing was bigger than my hand and practically melted in my mouth. In all honesty, I think I fell in love with the sandwich, or at least who ever made it. To go with my meal I ordered a Thai iced tea which was pretty good. All in all it had to be single best breakfast of my life.
Since it’s a bakery, Devil’s Teeth naturally sales baked goods. Unfortunately for me I didn’t have money to buy one, but I did get a good minute of staring longingly into their display case. I do know that next time I go to Devil’s Teeth that I will definitely try their cinnamon roll…or their brownie…or their lemon bars…
