Rimmel London and Pure Silk graciously gifted us some goodies to help us get through finals. We wanted to make sure that you were getting the best bang for your buck so we put their products to the test.
Pure Silk Raspberry Mist Shave Cream
Have you ever wanted to smell like pure magic after the shower? Than this should be your go to product. I’m going to be honest, I did not grow up using shaving cream and this was the first one that I had ever used. Yes, at twenty-two years old I finally converted to the shaving cream side and let me tell you…I’m never going back! My legs feel so much smoother and I didn’t miss nearly as many spots as I normally do because the product kept me on track of where I’ve been. If you’re like me, and never really saw the point of shaving cream I say give this one a try. It might just change your shower routine for good.
Rimmel London Volume Flash Scandaleyes Mascara in Extreme Black
I am very picky about my mascara. I don’t like formulas that are too dry and wands that are too spiky and thin. This mascara does not disappoint and does just what it says it will. The wand is nice and thick and allows you to get volume from base to tip. I always layer my mascaras and find that this one is a great secondary mascara to layer on top of a mascara that really lengthens. I’m not sure that I would use this one on its own but as a supplementary mascara it’s amazing.
Rimmel London Scandaleyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Black
The only thing I have to say about this eyeliner is, waterproof. That heart on the back of my hand? That did not come off until I scrubbed at it for a solid minute with makeup remover. I don’t typically use eyeliner pencils so I know personally I won’t get too much use out of this product. I do appreciate that the pigmentation is rich, the application is smooth and the wearability is long lasting.
Rimmel London Natural Bronzer in Sun Dance
Out of all the products I tried this was probably my least favourite. The bronzer was nice and shimmery and blended easily but I probably won’t reach for it again. The shade is far too warm to contour with and far too shimmery to add any subtle glow. It’s very all or nothing with this product. That being said, if you’re into body contouring or applying color to certain areas I think this would be great. I can see it being used as a shoulder highlight, a chest contour or even on your legs during the summer to add some glow before heading to the beach.
