Sandals in Spring? …Think Again.

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at San Francisco chapter.

For all of us girls who live the busy college life, we know how important shoes are when you’re strutting around the streets of SF.  It’s all about being both fabulous and practical.

This Spring we can’t go for the typical, cute strappy sandal, because, let’s face it, a nice Spring day here is still 65 degrees and windy.  So let’s change it up and opt for a fierce short-heeled ankle boot.

Versatility is key, especially when you’re on a college budget, and ankle boots are the answer.  Pair them with thigh high socks and your favorite high-waisted shorts, or dress them up and wear them with patterned tights and a body con skirt, the possibilities are endless.

Ankle boots are casual enough to wear to school, and you can dress them up for a night in Union Square.  The short heel will give your look a little more of a sophisticated side without the feeling of struggling in stilettos.   Go for something under three inches and you’ll have the perfect day-to-night look.

Try these brown faux leather booties, the light brown faux leather is a great choice for Spring and goes with

everything.  Pair them with black patterned tights and high-waisted denim shorts or body con dress and slouchy
sweater for the perfect look to go to school or a trip to Haight on a clear day.

In SF it’s all about making your outfit unique -mixing the cute and the casual!  Us city girls are always on the go! Whether it’s a shopping spree downtown or racing to class, and we need to stay ahead of the crowd and always, of course, stay fabulous!
