A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas (2015)

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Court of Thorns and Roses follows 19 year old human, Feyre as she journeys into the world of the fae leaving her father and two older sisters behind. She faces many trials and much heartache as she enters the unknown while trying to figure out who she can trust. Feyre is especially confused when it comes to the “beast” who took her from her home.

A Court of Thorns and Roses(ACOTAR) is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast with a little extra adventure and a few more plot twists. Feyre undergoes a major transformation in this book as she learns who she is outside of her family. ACOTAR is the first of 4 books and 1 novella in the unfinished series. While it ranks 4th in my rankings of the 5, it is a great introduction into the series and I would gladly read it again and recommend it to my friends.
