With winter weather comes gloomy days and low productivity. Thankfully, we are onto sunny days and springtime. I know I like to spruce up my life with spring and summer crafts, so here are some simple crafts anyone can do to make life a little bit more colorful.Â
Color Tray
Instead of throwing the remotes and keys on a plain ol’ coffee table, why not make one of these? All you need is a wooden tray that you can get from any craft store, some paint and maybe stencils. Then you have the perfect piece that is both functional and stylish.
Mason Jars
This may be one of the simplest spring/summer DIY crafts. I like to paint/decorate mason jars to store my change, pencils, and flowers in all over the house. All you need is a mason jar (or five), some paint and you’re ready to decorate!
Painted Letters
This one is for the really ambitious or crafty people out there. I could never pull this off but I bet some of you could. This would be cute in a window sill, on a table, or even on the wall. All you need is wooden letters from a craft store, paint, ribbon, and any other fun things you would want to add.Â
*Anyone who wants to make this for me, I will pay you in hugs and cookies
I know some of you may be leaving campus for summer or are too busy or stressed to make fun crafts. But if you want a study break or something to spice up the Res Halls for summer, try some of these out. Happy crafting bees!
