I moved into my off-campus but campus-owned house this year and started right at work but a few weeks ago I had a day off so I was thinking about many things and one was THIS IS MY LAST YEAR! I will graduate in the Spring and be done with college so I want to make sure that I study hard but also have a lot of fun. I will also be training all my replacements soon for Her Campus, DEI as the Ambassador, SAAT, etc. and it makes me a little sad so I want to list things I want to do this year before I graduate because this is my final chance as I get ready to go out into the world as a teacher.
- Go see the Quad City River Bandits Baseball game.
- Have a party in my house.Â
- Cook a big dinner for my friends to all eat together.
- Attend as many Late night @ SAU events as possible.Â
- Sit out on my back porch and read a book or just relax.Â
- Win an award at the end of year Student Award Ceremony or at the End of Year Celebration our HC Chapter does.
- Graduate with Honors or wearing an honor society’s cords.
- Seeing my cousin, Haley perform and band concerts as she is entering this year as a freshman.
I am nervous to enter this year as I think about student teaching coming this spring but also walking across the graduation stage in May but I am so ready for all the memories that are to come. I have grown so much since I started college as a music education major in 2018. It has been a long year with extra years here as I changed majors during COVID. I am looking forward to hearing them say, “Veronica Alfred Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education with an Endorsement in Special Education and minor in Music”. It’s been a crazy journey here and this is my last chapter at SAU.
