Last month, we wrote about 16 times Ambrose Hall got the best of our fellow bees. In honor of this week’s winter weather, we decided to throw it back to the snowy walks across SAU’s beloved Timmerman Field.
For the younger Bees who may not know, Timmerman Field refers to the plot of land that the new Wellness Center addition sits on. While it was used as an extra practice field in the warmer months, it made for a nearly impossible walk during colder months of the year.
With winter wind burning their faces and frostbite only a few minutes away, former Bees had no choice than to lace up their boots and brave the ice-covered paths across Timmerman Field. And while there were more successful trips than not, it was never a shock to see the occasional student take the fall. We’re still not sure how McCarthy Hall residents made the walk part of their daily routines.
With that being said, enjoy nine #FlashBackFriday tweets about the highs, lows and everything in between about the walk across Timmerman Field.
This picture does a great job of letting the underclassmen who never experienced the Timmerman Field walk of shame gain an understanding of the trek. It was cold, slippery and dreaded by all involved.
Successfully walking across Timmerman Field could be an Olympic sport, to be honest. #WinterOlympicsSAUStyle
And yet we all were dumb enough to take the risk.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It actually kind of upsets me that no future Bees will experience this pain.
Accurate.

…the real MVPs.
The snow may have melted, but the problems were still there.
