The first thing Kendall wanted when she found out she gets to be this weeks Campus Celebrity was a “cool” intro. Then she proceeded to give the example of, “Kendall McKie, her kicks are high and she’s kicking it on campus!”. Well, if that doesn’t explain Kendall’s upbeat and humerous personality then I don’t know what does. Meet this weeks Campus Celebrity, Dancer Bee Kendall McKie.Â
Hometown: Small Town USA, aka Cambridge, Il
Major: Early Childhood Education with endorsements in Special Education and Reading

Favorite Color: Pink
Favorite TV Show:Â It has been 11 years but I still love Laguna Beach and have all the seasons on DVD
 Favorite Movie: Tangled
Hobbies:Â Shopping, watching movies and baking with the roomies, hiking, and binge-watching netflix
Dream Career: A kindergarten teacher in the beautiful state of Iowa
Favorite place to eat:Â Bent River Brewery
Perfect Date: Dinner at Biaggis, followed by Ice cream at Whiteys, then snuggling up and watching a movie (hint hint Sean)
Best thing to do for a girl’s night out: Start with Margs at Azteca, then spend at least two hours getting ready and contemplating outfits with your roomies, a couple rounds of impromptu karaoke and dance sessions in the living room, lots of photo ops, and then moving on to wherever the night takes us.
If you could be any celebrity who would it be? Why?:Â Lauren Conrad. Not only is she a best selling author and fashion designer, but she also had that on/off romance with Stephen Colletti who we can all agree was amazingly cute
Dream Adventure:Â Exploring someplace super tropical like Costa Rica or Bora Bora.
Best Memory at SAU so far:Â Dancing at Nationals in Daytona Beach last April. That performance was one of the best we had ever done. We ran straight from the stage to the side of the beach screaming and yelling. We spent almost 5 months preparing for that moment and within 2 minutes it was all over. We all gave the performance of our lives and ending up placing second. It was a moment I will never forget!
Fashion items you can’t live without: Scarves, sweaters, and boots! The perfect cold weather attire.
Advice for freshman:Â Put yourself out there. Get involved and meet as many new people as you can. Leave your door open as much as possible, and talk to all the people on your floor! Ambrose is such a small campus that you are bound to run into the same familiar faces over and over again. You never know who you may end up needing to lean on these next couple of years.
