Thanksgiving break was amazing. Good food and avoiding homework until Sunday night.

 

 

You were probably as stuffed as that turkey was.

 

 

You may be a little upset that it is back to eating in the caf.

 

 

Well, here are some easy, fast, and tasty snacks that you may not realize you can cook in your dorm. They will keep you nearly as satisfied as you were Thursday.

 

 

Get some friends, go to the store and grab these cheap ingredients to prepare these foods!

 

 

~Baked Potatoes

What you need: potatoes, desired toppings: sour cream, cheese, green onion, butter, etc

directions: clean your potato, poke fork holes in potato, microwave 5 minutes, check and possibly microwave 5 additional minutes, let sit a few min, cut and add toppings

~Scrambled Eggs

Ingredients: 1 egg, desired toppings: onion, pepper, tomato, mushroom, cheese, broccoli

Directions: crack and beat egg in mug, add in toppings, cover when in microwave to avoid mess, cook 30 seconds, stir, cook additional 10 seconds until desired

~Mac and Cheese

Ingredients: ⅓ cup elbow macaroni, ½ cup water, ½ cup shredded cheese, dash of milk (take a carton from the caf)

Directions: combine noodles and water in mug and microwave for 2 min, take out and stir, repeat twice and add cheese and milk, then stir

~Rice and Veggies

Ingredients: 5 tbsp rice, â…” cup cold water, desired veggies, 3 tbsp milk, and cheese if desired

Directions: combine rice, water, and veggies & cook for 3 minutes, stir then add milk and cheese & cook for an additional 2 min, and watch to avoid overflow

~Crock Pot Buffalo Chicken Dip

Ingredients: 3 cups chicken (canned ((drained)) or rotisserie ((shredded))), 1 cup (or desired amount) of choice of buffalo sauce,1 cup ranch, 2 8oz packages of cream cheese (softened),1 package (2 cups) of shredded cheddar cheese, tortilla chips or bread

Directions: turn crock pot on high and add cream cheese until it gets warm,  add the rest of the ingredients, stir, then add the hot sauce ½ cup at a time, cook for about an hour, stirring occasionally, and enjoy once creamy

~Crock Pot Queso

Ingredients: 1 can green chilies, ÂĽ cup salsa verde, 4 oz white american cheese, 8 oz cream cheese, Âľ cup milk, 8 oz pepper jack cheese, 4 oz white cheddar cheese, and tortilla chips

Directions: combine everything and cook one hour, mix until smooth, and cook 30 min
