As we become one month closer to summer, it can be easy to wish the time away in pursuit of warmer months and the summer activities we miss so much. Instead of wishing the months like March and April away, trying to find enjoyable activities to fill these months can actually make it feel like summer is right around that corner. There are a lot of things to do in the Quad Cities, even during Covid, so I have looked around to find some of the events that seem to be the most interesting or unique. Hopefully you can find an activity or two to add some excitement into your March, or this list can inspire you to research some more events online that might interest you!

Blakelock: By the Light of the Moon Exhibit Opens at the Figgie

March 2nd through the 7th

Forgeries, mental illness, intrigue, and rapid fame—the dramatic circumstances of Ralph Albert Blakelock’s life often overshadow the merits of his work. By the Light of the Moon will feature eight exceptional artworks by Blakelock from the museum collection. This exhibition will explore Blakelock’s body of work and how his interest in spiritualism is reflected in his artistic practice.
