Deep sorrow is the definition of grief
but what I feel cannot be determined by a textbook definitionÂ
grief, mourning, sorrow
doesn’t compare to
all the air you breathe suddenly gone
and your heart starts to beat out of your chest
your throat filled with tears
your hands and feet no longer take signals from your brain
because in that moment it seems like it’ll never end
it seems like no one will ever understandÂ

but because you physically cannotÂ
