This week, I’m doing (some of) the top ten biggest cars of all time. Let’s jump right in. 

1) 1973 Chrysler Imperial 

Coming in at 235.5 inches in length, the 1973 Chrysler Imperial is the biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 440 V-8 and made 215 horsepower. The 1973 model was first created in mid 1972 and ended in mid 1973. It was also the 12th generation of the Imperial.  

2) 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham 

Coming in at 233.7 inches in length, the 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood Sixty Special Brougham is the 2nd biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 500 V-8 and made 190 horsepower. The 1975 model was sold during the period of September 1974 – September of 1975. 

3) 1975 Buick Electra 225 

Coming in at 233.4 inches in length, the 1975 Buick Electra 225 is the 3rd biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 455 V-8 and made 205 horsepower. Same as the Fleetwood, the Electra was produced from September 1974 to September of 1975. 

4) 1975 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight 

Coming in at 232.4 inches in length, the 1975 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight is the 4th biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 400 V-8 and made 185 horsepower. Going along with their General Motor (GM) counterparts, the 1975 car was produced from September 1974 to September of 1975. 

5) 1974-1976 Buick Estate Wagon 

Coming in at 231.8 inches in length, the 1974-1976 Buick Estate Wagon is the 5th biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 455 V-8 and made 205 horsepower. As Buick is a member of the GM family, this model of the Estate Wagon was made from September of 1973 to September of 1976. 

6) 1971-1976 Pontiac Grand Safari Wagon 

Coming in at 231.3 inches in length, the 1971-1976 Pontiac Grand Safari Wagon is the 6th biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 455 V8 and made 190 horsepower. Pontiac, being a member of the GM family, followed in the same production process with the model being produced in September of 1970 and ending in September of 1976. 

7) 1975 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Wagon 

Coming in at 231.2 inches in length, the 1975 Oldsmobile Custom Cruiser Wagon is the 7th biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 400 V-8 and made 185 horsepower. In typical GM fashion, the car was made from September 1974 to September 1975. 

8) 1978 Chrysler New Yorker 

Coming in at an even 231 inches in length, the 1978 Chrysler New Yorker is the 8th biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 360 V-8 and made 170 horsepower. This model would be produced from October of 1977 to October of 1978. 

9) 1974-1976 Cadillac Coupe de Ville 

Coming in at 230.7 inches in length, the 1974-1976 Cadillac Coupe de Ville is the 9th biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 472 V-8 and made 205 horsepower. Following the GM procedure for production methods, this model would be produced from September 1974 to September 1976. 

10) 1977 Mercury Grand Marquis 

Coming in at an even 229 inches in length, the 1977 Mercury Grand Marquis is the 10th biggest car of all time. They came standard with a 400 V-8 and made 168 horsepower. Following the Chrysler production method, this car was produced from October 1976 to October of 1977. 

To finish the article off, we have an honorable mention: the 1974-1976 Cadillac Fleetwood 75 Series Sedan. Considered a limousine this car comes in at a whopping 252.2 inches in length.

Brooke is currently a sophomore at St. Bonaventure University where she is majoring in Sports Media with minors in Native American and Indigenous Studies & English. You can also find Brooke working as an assistant in the Koop Lab and upstairs in the office, making her money. In her free time, Brooke loves reading, going to the local racetrack, riding four-wheelers, working on cars, and riding in tractor trailers. Brooke is a music lover, and will talk about most any genre, especially her favorites which are rock and rap. Brooke is also a percussionist, a published author, and a women's rights activist. Brooke is also a member of several lineage organizations, and currently holds a national position in one of them. As well as writing for campus media, Brooke is involved with Faith in Fiction, Jandoli Women in Communication, the History Club, College Democrats, and the Indigenous Student Confederacy. A fun fact about Brooke is that she was the only female to ever be in the top 5% of the Automotive Technology class at the trade school she attended in her junior and senior years of high school.
