We have all faced frustration, hardship, or misery, and we have a hard time keeping calm. Waiting is one of the hardest things we can imagine, but it is nothing but a part of our everyday lives and can lead to happier lives. After all, good things come to those who wait. When we want something, we expect to receive it when we want it to, but it does not always work that way. Only God knows when we are going to receive what we long for or we may not receive what we want at all because He has something better in store for us. It could take some time for someone or something to come to us, but the wait will be worth it and that we need to remember that God is in control.

Having patience means we can face any sort of annoyance or dissatisfaction calmly. Even if the situation is difficult to deal with, it is important to have patience because being impatient only causes more stress for you. Everyone has their share of dissatisfaction and they can’t help but get irritated and even feel helpless. I deal with this every time I don’t get a role in a play or film I auditioned for. The life of an actor is hard enough as it is, and I know I’m not going to get every role I audition for. But it’s still frustrating. The thing is, we wait for so long until we grow tired and get the feeling that there is no point in waiting anymore. But nobody should have to feel that way.

We think that something that we long for will not happen, but it will. I understand that what I want is not going to be easy to receive, but it does not mean that I will never receive it. It is important to be patient and wait for exactly what you want and deserve. Instead of settling with some sort of alternative or a substitute just for the sake of having it immediately, have patience and just wait for the exact thing. Instead of forcing someone to change, wait for them to change themselves. If you want to help someone and they do not want your help, even though they could use it, be patient and wait for them to come to you for guidance instead of forcing it on them. When we want something in life, we do not know whether we are wasting our time or being patient. Whether we want a certain someone to like us or we want to be a part of something we find amazing, it is hard to tell if it is worth the wait or not.

I do know that whatever path we want to follow will require following it at our own pace rather than at someone else’s. Accept that what is yours will come to you in the right way at just the right moment. If we all just be optimistic and hopeful, we will be rewarded with everything our hearts desire.

“Trust the process. Your time is coming. Just do the work and the results will handle themselves.” -Tony Gaskins
