Alright, we all know that sometimes going to the cafeteria can be the biggest inconvenience ever. Either we’re tired, just plain lazy, or the hot breakfast ended an hour before we got there, making us resent the cafe even more because we walked all the way there for nothing. Yes, this is my real thought process. On the other hand, cafeteria food beats dorm food 9/10 times; especially when it comes to breakfast. Sure, cereal is great on some mornings when you’re in a rush to get to class; but personally, I get so tired of eating cereal all the time. Being that there’s not many options we have in the dorm when it comes to cooking, I took to Pinterest to see if I could find a way around that; and a way to stop relying on cereal. What I stumbled upon might be the greatest dorm food hack of all time because all you need is a microwave. So, here’s your alternative to cereal ladies, microwaveable eggs! Who would’ve thought, right? It is the easiest and quickest thing to “cook”, yet they taste like you put way more effort into making them. I’m telling you guys, it’s all I’ve been eating for breakfast for the past week! Also, what I love about this idea is that you can make them your own; that means adding in healthy ingredients and keeping your eating habits right. So grab yourself a mug, yes a mug, and keep reading below to find out how to make some delicious dorm room eggs!

Directions:
All you need for these eggs are a mug to cook them in, a microwave to do the job, and the ingredients I listed below or any ingredients you prefer; the best part about this is that you get to choose what you put it in (unlike the cafeteria eggs)!
Step 1: Beat 2 eggs with a fork into a microwaveable mug
Step 2: Add in your ingredients and stir
Step 3: Place in microwaveable and heat for 45 seconds
Step 4: Take the mug out, stir the eggs, and put them back in for another 45 seconds
So, you’re going to want to take the eggs out after each 45 second increment and stir, then repeat again until the eggs are fully cooked. Usually, it takes me about 3 45 second cooks to fully cook my eggs and after that, all you have left to do is enjoy!
