Lilly Look Book Phases

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Scranton chapter.

Target FINALLY released their Look Book for the Target- Lilly Collab. It’s about time we get to see what we’ll be running to Target for come next week. Although some people are not fans of this new dynamic duo, I personally could not be more excited. As our girl Taylor says “the haters gonna hate, hate, hate” so let them. Me? I prefer to shop, shop, shop. So join me as I explain the six phases you go through while seeing the Look Book for the first time.

1. Extreme ExcitementThe Look Book is here and we get to see all 250 items of this one-time, fantastic collab. OMG!!! Look at this bag, look at those shoes, omg housewares?! I deff need these cups for when I move out three years from now. Oh my god… DID YOU SEE ALL OF THIS?! I need it. All of it. OH MY GOD!

2. Anxiety Wait. What if each Target doesn’t get ALL of the collection? I can’t live without those sandals, I just can’t. What am I going to do?! You frantically call you mother “MOM, IF MY TARGET DOESN’T HAVE X, Y AND Z PROMISE ME YOU’LL GET IT AT HOME. You don’t understand I NEED to have them.”

3. AngerWhat if they don’t have everything on my wish list? THIS IS SO UNFAIR. UGH. Why would Target do this to me? Do they not understand that I need my Lilly goods?! This is the worst thing that could ever possibly happen to me. 4. Impatience UGH. Why would they show me all of these wonderful patterns, accessories and dresses if I can’t have them now?! Really though, how can they expect me to wait knowing what I’ll be fighting for.

5. How Much is Too Much?Am I planning on buying too many things? Hmm. But the prices are so great, everything is so cute, and it’s a one-time thing. Yes. You really do need a tenth pair of flip-flops and another beach bag. When else will I have this opportunity?! 6. Mental PreparationSo will I be fighting with other girls to get those needed sandals? Is this going to be like a scene straight out of Confessions of a Shopaholic?! I’m not sure if I’m mentally prepared for this. I have absolutely no idea what to expect.
