Meet the Fabulous: Jenna Bruchalski

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Scranton chapter.

Name: Jenna Bruchalski

Year: 2017

Major: Strategic Communication, Minor: Business

Hometown: Mahwah, NJ

HC: Let’s jump right in, what are you going to miss most about being a student at the University of Scranton?

JB: Ugh I get so sad thinking about leaving Scranton! But I’m going to miss being around my friends 24/7. And being in walking distance to Chic-fil-a and Starbucks.

HC: What are some of your biggest accomplishments from your time in college?

JB: Scranton has given me so many opportunities and I couldn’t be more grateful. Some of my favorites have been being an Orientation Assistant for three years, traveling to Guyana, South America with ISP, studying abroad in Italy for three weeks and completing my internships.

HC: What are you looking forward to most as a post-graduate student?

JB: It sounds silly, but just being a real adult! I can’t wait to have a full-time job and live on my own! Also, having a paycheck to pay for iced coffee, cheeseburgers and clothes.

HC: Let’s switch gears a bit, I see you’ve recently had an internship. What was something you’ve learned from this experience?

JB: Yes! Over intersession, I had the best internship! It was with a small public relations firm in NYC. It exposed me to what PR is like in the real world. I’ve learned how to pitch, interact with clients and the day-to-day activities of a firm.

HC: What did you enjoy about the internship?

JB: Being in New York City was amazing! My office was right near Wall Street so it was awesome being in the hub of the Financial District. I also loved meeting with clients and feeling like a was a part of the firm.

HC: If you could describe the last four years in one word, what would it be?

JB: Unbelievable, I wouldn’t trade the last four years for anything.

I'm a twenty-year-old junior at the University of Scranton. I aspire to work in public relations after I graduate, as well as travel the world. I grew up on the south shore of Long Island.
Elizabeth Transue is a Communication Broadcasting major with a minor in Political Science at The University of Scranton. Her life changed when she studied abroad in London and fell in love with traveling. She is obsessed with her adorable pug, Chikfila, and her eleven best friends who just so happen to be her housemates. She can't hold a tune or keep a rhythm but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it! Am I right?
