As a girl with curly hair (3b to be exact), I have been on quite a hair journey for over half of my life. I grew up not knowing how to do my hair, my dad put so much gel in my hair growing up that it could stand up straight on its own. My mom did her best but most of the time I ended up with hair as big and undefined as a bloomed dandelion. As I got older, I took matters into my own hands and figured everything out for myself. I am by no means saying that I am perfect at doing my hair, but I am very happy with the progress that I’ve made. So, I am going to share my current hair care routine.
1. I start off by shampooing my hair with Jamaican Black Castor Oil strength and restore shampoo by shea moisture.
2. I just recently highlighted my hair red, so I have just started using the color + clenditioner in merlot by keracolor to refresh the deep red in my hair.
3. Next, I like to use a deep conditioner and I have been loving the hello shine glossy treatment mask by ouidad. I like to leave this in overnight and I finish the rest of my routine in the morning.
4. The next morning, I rinse out the deep conditioner and saturate my hair with the TGIN rosewater smoothing leave in conditioner. I make sure that this is evenly distributed, and I use a wide tooth comb to aid in this process.
5. Next, I use the TGIN rose water curl defining mouse and flip my head over and scrunch it into my curls.
6. I then take the TGIN rose water defining styling gel and scrunch it into my curls as well.
7. Finally, the drying process, I wrap my head in a t-shirt or microfiber towel to get out as much excess product as possible. I leave the towel on for about 45 minutes and then I like to airdry it the rest of the way. If I’m in a time crunch, I diffuse it the rest of the way dry.
Well, that’s how I achieve my curly look. Good luck everyone I believe in you all
Xoxo, Kathleen
