I love the fall weather but only to a degree. I do not bear well with the cold atmosphere because I am a naturally cold person. But the autumn season is beautiful and enjoyable on a windy, sunny day with a temperature of sixty-two degrees.
Typically, I really enjoy the fun parts of fall such as pumpkin carving, decorating for Halloween, celebrating Thanksgiving, the leaves changing on the trees, drinking apple cider, and my favorite part, a movie marathon in my living room.
Picture this: You are sitting in your living room under a cozy blanket, with a cup of hot chocolate, apple cider, or some pumpkin drink. There is a pumpkin chai candle burning a scent throughout the room, and the window is open just to bring in a small chill. And to top everything off, you are watching your favorite fall movies all day.
Most people think that a fall movie has to directly be associated with fall, but I tend to have my fall movies range a little bit because I just always watch them during this season.
Here’s a list of my favorite movies to watch on a cozy, fall day!
1. My ultimate favorite is the Harry Potter movie series. These are the best because you can watch them all in one day or over a week. I’ve watched these movies so many times and I could never get sick of them or stop loving them every time.
2. I always enjoy a good Twilight binge. Similarly to the Harry Potter series, there are a bunch of movies to watch and stay occupied with. For some reason, these movies always remind me of fall, school starting, and the cold season.
3. The classic Hocus Pocus movie is perfect for Halloween. I just love this Halloween movie—it’s one of my favorites. As a kid, I always thought it was so funny and not scary at all, which is why I liked it so much. It was one of the Halloween movies I could actually watch and enjoy.
4. Miss Congeniality is always good on a fall afternoon. This movie just makes my heart happy and it’s such a vibe of a movie to enjoy on a chilly day.
5. The Princess Diaries always makes my day when it’s raining outside, and I get to hang out with friends in the fall season. Both of these movies do remind me of the springtime, but because they are so wonderful, I always watch them in the fall too on a sunnier day when I have nothing to do.
6. The Pirates of the Caribbean series is a fun throw-back I enjoy watching on a rainy and extra cold Sunday. These movies aren’t particularly the most related to fall, however, they are a great binge that I enjoy watching. Most of the time my mom and I will watch them at night with a pumpkin chai drink and cookies.
7. I really enjoy watching Bad Moms around Thanksgiving, and then the Christmas themed one in December. Bad Moms is such a funny and almost-realistic movie that it is one of my favorites. The first time I watched this movie I was shocked at how much work goes into being a mom. And watching it all the time reminds me and just makes me thank my mom.
