Tea tree oil saved my skin’s life…for sure. From middle school all the way to college, I had the worst acne. It didn’t matter what products I used, they never worked. And if they did work, they stopped working after a certain amount of time.

My skin started to clear up towards senior year of high school into college but when I had breakouts, they were BAD. A friend from the building asked me if I had ever heard of tea tree oil. Of course, I said no, and I immediately purchased a bottle at the store. It was very inexpensive considering how much you need each time. All you need is a q-tip, you just dab the oil on the q-tip and use it as a spot treatment. As soon as I started using the oil, my pimples would shrink within the time I slept. I never wear it during the day because it does have an interesting smell but with the way it works, I don’t care what it smells like. Ever since, my skin has been clearer than ever. (It even works on Maskne)

But don’t worry, you can also use tea tree oil for other things besides pimples. Tea tree oil is also great for ingrown hairs. It helps to reduce redness and inflammation. Another great use is in hair care. I use Paul Mitchell shampoo with the oil in the formula and my hair has a great shine and it is much stronger. Certain hair masks also have tea tree oil in their formulas to help with reducing dandruff, oil production, and stimulate hair growth.

So, when you need a little self-care, try out tea tree oil in your routine to see what it can do for you!
