This Scranton senior is killing the game. I mean it’s September and she already has a job lined up on Wall Street for after she graduates! It’s safe to say that this girl is going to accomplish great things! Scroll down to learn more about the incredible Molly Clarke.
Name: Molly ClarkeMajor: MarketingYear: SeniorHometown: Rockville Center, NY
HC: What are some activities that you are involved with on campus?MC: Obviously Her Campus! I’m also involved with Love Your Melon, I’m the treasure of the Advertising Club and involved in the Marketing Society. You can also find me djing at Oscar’s on the weekends!
HC: So Love Your Melon is new to The U, can you tell me a little more about that and how you got involved?MC: I actually bought a beanie last year online from Love Your Melon where I heard of it. Samantha Milazzo reached out to me saying she was starting a crew and I said I would love to be a part of it. Love Your Melon is definitely a great organization with heart-warming motives.
HC: What would you say is one of the most rewarding things you’ve done at Scranton?MC: Definitely ISP! I went to the Dominican Republic my sophomore going into junior year. Ten of us went from the University and we built a house for a family in 5 days. It was a life changing experience and I’m so much more grateful because of it.
HC: So I heard you had a pretty awesome internship this summer?MC: I worked at BGC Partners; it’s an electronic brokerage on Wall Street. I worked in the special events and ticketing department. We planned 13 parties this summer for the company. Some of the events included renting out Six Flags and the Victoria Gardens in Central Park. We also planned any personal parties for the brokers. The ticketing aspect was that the company had several seats for sports teams such as the Mets, Yankees, a suite at Barclay center (any concerts Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj etc.) and Broadway tickets. I loved working there and last week my boss called me and offered me a full time position after graduation and I obviously said yes!
HC: How has your experience at Scranton prepared you for the future?MC: Scranton prepared me not only to succeed in school, but in the real business world, which I am so thankful for.
HC: It’s your senior year here at The U what are you going to miss most when you leave?MC: I’m definitely going to miss living with my friends and being with them all day!
