Are you wearing SPF every day? If you are, are you sure it’s enough? If you aren’t, you should be!
Every single person should wear sunscreen every day, even if they aren’t going to go outside very much, even if it’s raining, and even if they think they don’t need it. You do need it! There are two main reasons you should include sunscreen in your skincare routine: Protection and Prevention.
Protection:
Your skin needs protection from the sun and it’s damaging ultraviolent rays. Without protection, you are more prone to developing skin cancer, which is the most common type of cancer developed in the U.S.
Prevention:
There is also a non-threatening side of wearing sunscreen, it causes premature aging of your skin. Without wearing sunscreen completely and consistently, you could get severe skin damage in the form of wrinkles, sunspots, and just an overall blotchy complexion.
Even if you are wearing sunscreen, you should make sure that it is the right kind and has enough SPF to actually protect you. When looking for sunscreen, you should only use products that have SPF 30 and up, otherwise, you might as well be wearing nothing.
In addition, you should use sunscreen as an entire step in your routine, not just a BB cream that has SPF in it. Products that aren’t sunscreen but have SPF in them, do not give you enough coverage for it to fully replace sunscreen in your routine.
Sunscreen should be the last step in your skincare routine and the first in your makeup routine.
