Whether we like it or not, we seniors have only a few months left until we’re thrown out into the real world. As terrifying as it is, I find comfort knowing that most successful people have felt just as lost and terrified at some point in their lives as we will feel in June. Given they’ve lived to tell the tale, I trust their judgment better than my own.
So here are a few pieces of advice reminding us to move forward and trust our passions in times of distress.
“The secret to change is to focus all your energy not on fighting the old, but building the new.” –Socrates
“Let the beauty of what you love be what you do.” –Rumi
“Go forth and set the world on fire.” – St. Ignatius
“From a little spark may burst a flame.” –Dante Alighieri
“By being yourself, you put something into the world that wasn’t there before.” – Edwin Elliot
“What’s meant to be will always find its way.” –Trisha Yearwood
