At SDSU we’re lucky enough to have our own arena for any events from basketball games to concerts. This semester, Viejas Arena will be hosting a slew of artists worth seeing if you’re able to get some tickets!
The first big concert of the year is on February 26 when Rihanna kicks off her Anti World Tour at Viejas. Rihanna always gives her all in her performances, and I’m sure this concert will be no different. Travis Scott, who just released his debut album Rodeo this past September, will join her. Tickets are available here and special collector 3D tickets are even offered.
Later that week on February 28, Christian, hip hop artist Toby Mac will perform as part of his Hits Deep Tour. He will be accompanied by a multitude of other artists, including Britt Nicole, Building 429, Colton Dixon, Capitol King, Finding Favour, and Hollyn.
Comedian Jeff Dunham will mix things up March 12. He’s been featured on Comedy Central and even has his own show, The Jeff Dunham Show. His quirky characters and sometimes-dark humor will be highlighted during his Perfectly Unbalanced Tour.
On April 23, Ellie Goulding and Years & Years will bring us Delirium Tour as part of Goulding’s largest North American tour yet.
Lastly, although not during the spring semester, Twenty One Pilots will be at the Arena on July 24. The concert is already sold out at the time of this writing, but re-sale tickets might pop up so be on the lookout. This duo has been known to create exciting and intense shows and, speaking from experience, their live performance is thrilling so don’t miss out.
As always, women’s and men’s basketball games will be held at the arena throughout the semester as well. Be sure to go support our teams! Tickets for all of the above are available through the Viejas Arena box office, as well as online.
