1. Anticipation
Halloween just ended, Target is getting out their Christmas decorations and commercials have started to play on the TV. You know it’s way too early to start celebrating the holidays, but you can’t help the anticipation. Calm down though, Thanksgiving hasn’t even happened yet.Â
Â
2. Impatience
Â
It’s officially cold outside and midterms have left you emotionally exhausted. You are ready to go home for Thanksgiving to stuff yourself silly and begin the official holiday season.
Â
3. Excitement
Thanksgiving is over and now you can finally begin the over-indulgence in the Christmas Pandora station, sugary treats, as well as the constant need to watch Elf.
Â
4. Panic
It’s finals week, you have been studying an ungodly amount. Then you realize that you are going home soon and have to been with your family for three uninterrupted weeks. You also realize that you still haven’t bought a present for your parents, siblings, or significant other, and have no idea what to get them. Panic sets in!
Â
5. More Excitement
Once finals are over, you have reunited with friends to enjoy activities like ice skating, going to the movies, snowflake lane, and other holiday events. This is the peak of the holiday season.
Â
6. Serenity
Nothing can be better than it is right now. At home with hot chocolate, a fire, and Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is playing. Movies like “Love Actually” and “A Christmas Story” are on repeat all day. Presents have been opened and food has been devoured. There is no going up from here.
Â
7. Denial
New Years Eve is quickly approaching and decorations will soon be coming down. Denial is in the air; there is no way the holidays are almost over.
Â
8. Â Depression
Its January 1st, between now and at least May, this time is considered the “Dark Age”. No more holidays to look forward to and summer is still a distant memory. You will be heading back to school soon and 12 more months until it’s the holidays again.  Hang in there folks!Â
Â
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!Â
