We’re sitting down with our guitar-playing guy, Joe Melillo!

HC (Her Campus): What are the main things you look for in a girl?

JM (Joe Melillo): Sense of humor, sense of adventure and someone that overall enjoys the simple things in life.

HC: What is your ideal date?

JM: Something low key would be preferred, but honestly as long as the girl is having a good time, then I think that sounds like a pretty good date to me. I’m not too hard to please.

HC: What is your biggest turn off?

JM: Girls who are really materialistic. I’ve had a little too much experience with that, and it’s never gone well.

HC: What kind of music do you play?

JM: Indie pop, rock, acoustic stuff— nothing too heavy.

HC: If you could only listen to one genre of music for the rest of your life, what would it be?

JM: I couldn’t really enjoy a world without The Beatles, so I guess I would have to go with classic rock.

HC: If you made it big and got to go on a world tour, who would be your opening act?

JM: Either John Mayer or Coldplay, but it would be much more likely for me to open up for them instead of the other way around.

HC: What is your dream job and where is your dream place to live?

JM:  I would love to either be a sponsored runner, cyclist, adventurer, endurance athlete, or a professional musician in Colorado.

HC: What is something that nobody knows about you?

JM: I really enjoy cooking and I would like to write a cookbook one day in the future.
