The Pirates Men’s Basketball scored their first win of the 2016-2017 Season this past Friday at Walsh Gymnasium on campus. They played defending NEC Champion Fairleigh Dickinson Knights in front of a sold out crowd at the campus gym. The Pirates showed promise for the upcoming season. With the final score being 91-70, Junior Khadeen Carrington scored 27 points and junior Angel Delgado scored 22. The two showed promise as team leaders for the upcoming season. It was obvious that the Pirates have to adjust to their new tempo without standout Isaiah Whitehead. But, it was also obvious that a solid team still exisits and is ready to leave their mark once again on the Big East Conference. Be sure not to miss their next game this Sunday (11/13) at the Prudential Center against Central Connecticut State University. Go Pirates!Â
