Mindhunter is a Netflix original series about two FBI agents, Holden Ford and Bill Tench. Season 1, which aired in 2017, takes place in the late 1970s and focuses on the Behavioral Sciences Unit of the FBI. Holden (Johnathan Groff) and Trench (Holt McCallan) are two agents assigned to the Behavioral Sciences Unit. While working for the BSU the two agents develop a way to interview serial killers while still in prison in order to catch killers on the loose. The name of the show, Mindhunter, comes from how Holden gets into the minds of these killers and starts to really understand the killers’ individual motives.          Â

Season 1 shows interviews with famous killers like Ed Kemper. The show offers chilling scenes and kept me on my toes. Season 2, which aired in 2019, featured Charles Manson and Tex Watson, both of whom are historically famous for the Sharon-Tate murders and Helter Skelter movement. This show is a new era of serial killer show and I am truly obsessed. The storyline is so well written it makes you not want to stop watching. I finished both seasons in, like, 2 days – that’s how good it was!! So, if you like serial killer documentaries, or crime shows, Mindhunter on Netflix is worth it.
