We had a sit down with entrepreneur, future business owner, determined fashion-ista, Gabriella Wesley to learn about her upcoming lipstick and accessory line, “Pink London.”

Name: Gabriella Wesley

Major/classification: PR Major; Fashion Merchandising Minor – Junior

Hometown: Houston, Texas

Talent: Entrepreneur/business owner

Activities involved in: FnM, & Houston city-wide volunteer group

What do you do?

I am an entrepreneur. I work for HairGeneticks as a college representative. ( @HairGeneticksSFA) I am also a manager of model Raya Billobs.

How did this come about?

My father is a businessman, my motivation and inspiration comes from him. I’m also always looking for ways to evolve as person. I know what I’m doing, I have the skills and resources to do it, so why not just do it! With the help of my business partner, Tinika Steward, everything is coming into place. I like starting up my own things. I began working for FnM (Fashion n Motion) and fell in love with the whole process of modeling and styling. I love being on the “go,” and absoultely hate being bored, so why not put all this creative energy in a worthy project.”

How is your SFA Education helping with this project?

“I’m a PR Major and Fashion merchandising minor. The different courses help with the knowledge of vendors and knowing what the consumer wants and needs. Many of the 300/400 level courses help a lot in my major which helps improve the businesses.”

Where do you want your business to go?

“I would eventually want to break out and own a company with the goal of giving back to the community in mind. “When “the little people” help you, you give back and help people.” I want to direct a foundation toward young minority women between the ages of 6 to 17, to help them find their “nitch” or talent in life. This foundation will be based on a positive, “you can do it.” attitude.

If someone wanted to help out with what you’re Wanna help?

Please feel free to contact me via Twitter @BadGALGabriella! I’m open to hearing different opinions and ideas, and would definitely appreciate the growth it would create in my company.

Do you have any Advice for SFA students?

“Stay focused; don’t lose sight for what you’re here for. Use your resources, and don’t be afraid to pursue your dreams.”

Any last comments?

“Stay tuned in HairGeneticks, Pink London, Raya Billobs a lot of things in 2013 and so on. We’re ready to grow and evolve!”
