Dating can be stressful, but it can also be the chapter of your life where you have the most fun. Some people date to marry and some date for companionship, but either way, dating gives you the chance to get to know each other on different levels. You can ask deep questions, surface-level questions, or silly ones to keep the date going. Whatever mood you’re going for, here are a few questions you can never go wrong asking your date:
Surface-level Questions
- What’s your favorite/least favorite color?
- What did you study in college/where do you work?
- How many siblings do you have?
- What do you do in your spare time?
- Top three places you wish to travel to?
- Do you like desserts/ have a sweet tooth?
- Where were you born?
Meaningful Questions
- How do you feel about marriage/commitment?
- What is your typical reaction/behavior in an argument?
- How was your home life growing up? (Two-parent home, blended family, etc.)
- What is the most valuable thing you learned from your parents?
- What is your love language?
- What are your strengths and weaknesses in a relationship?
- What do you need from your significant other?
Light-hearted Questions
- Who is your celebrity crush?
- Apple or Android?
- Team Xbox or PlayStation?
- Make up a “Would you rather” scenario
- Favorite musical artists and actors?
- Ask them their opinion on the latest pop culture topic
- Are you a cat or a dog person?
The light-hearted questions can actually tell you a lot about a person and give you some intel, especially question numbers one, five and seven. Personally, I think the celebrity crush question gives me a lot of information because it reveals the type of person they like. The deeper questions may seem scary, but they allow you to figure out whether that person is compatible with you much sooner rather than later. Try some of these questions out and have fun!
