Hi everyone! If you keep up with my personal blog and have read my previous post, “Keeping it Local in the Kootenays”, you most likely know that I have been on a serious search to find the best local gems every where I go. As much as I have been loving discovering new places to shop, eat, and drink, I fall even harder for the local businesses when I see that they also sell locally, handcrafted goods. So, friends, it is my pleasure to introduce you to New Westminster’s, Good Omen shop! Good Omen is located just off of Columbia on 6th Street and makes you fall easily in love with it before even entering the shop.
“Good Omen is a destination to enjoy the best of many things. Our goal is to house an interesting and thoughtful mix of handmade goods that are beautiful, nourishing, and useful. As we aim to be a positive force in our community, you will find a selection of well-crafted products to empower one to make positive decisions about what you put in and on your body and home.” – Good Omen Shop
One of my personal favourite products, locally made in the Lower Mainland, and sold at Good Omen is the Bare Skin Bar. These bath balms and their packaging are aesthetically pleasing as heck, and also extremely gentle on the skin with natural ingredients and soothing scents, rather than artificial and strong ingredients.
So, give yourself a little self-love this new year and visit Good Omen!
