Winter break has come and gone and the new semester brings much to look forward to.Â
1. Â Lounging on Padua Beach and the Love Rock
As magical as Siena feels in the winter, the feeling that comes with that first day of sunshine and warmth is incomparable. Padua Beach and the Love Rock and surrounding greens become crowded with towels, Kan Jam games, and all sorts of music blaring. Whether you’re sunbathing, catching up on some reading or throwing a Frisbee around, no one will be able to resist the lure of spring weather.
Â
2. Â See friends who were abroad fall semester.
The excitement is tangible on campus as friends are finally able to reconnect. Expect many Saga dates as friends try and catch up one another on the past five months of their lives.Â
Â
3. Â Townhouse Barbecues
For the lucky few that reside in MacClosky and Cushing nothing rings in spring better than barbecues. Upperclassmen keep the party going all day with barbeques celebrating everything from a big Saints win to birthdays.Â
4. Â Mr. Siena
Not an empty seat is found in the MAC on the night Siena boys take the stage, vying for the “Mr. Siena” crown in this mock beauty pageant. Â What could be better than watching the boys perform skits and dances? Â How about the fact that all profits go towards Siena’s chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Â This year the event will take place on February 7th, and trust us you do not want to miss it.Â
5. Â Siena Fest
Nothing defines spring at Siena more than Siena Fest. This big weekend typically takes place at the end of April as a celebration of the end of the year. Expect tons of catered food, SEB events, free Siena gear and a concert in the MAC to wrap everything off!
