As it is, March is Women’s History Month, and includes a widely recognized day known as International Women’s Day (March 8th). In honor of the ever-fierce prevalence of #girlpower, I’m bringing a few women from many different walks of life into the spotlight.
1. Audrey Roloff
Wife of TLC’s Little People, Big World’s Jeremy Roloff, Audrey Botti is a fresh face in the blogging world. A devout Christian, she and her husband document their marriage through their blog, Beating 50 Percent, which represents their mission to execute a successful marriage—by giving more than 50% of yourself to your partner. Having married young, they were faced with a lot of doubt and challenges, and so decided to start their blog in order to encourage people to strive for healthy relationships. Audrey is a Barre3 instructor and has her own online shop, which also has a positivity-promoting Christian theme. Check out her blogs and her Instagram below!

2. Hannah Simone
Hannah is a star on FOX’s New Girl, playing the best friend, Cece, to Jessica Day (Zooey Deschanel). On-screen, Hannah plays the role of a model who is a bit uncertain of herself, but in actuality, she is the epitome of “global maximalism.” Well-traveled for such a young woman, Hannah is involved in a number of philanthropic causes and supportive of many organizations, including ones to promote equality for women internationally, to protect and rescue animals, and to support underserved children. Hannah has worked with charities such as the Children’s Defense Fund, the Malala Fund, Feeding America, and UNICEF.

3. Rowan Blanchard
Rowan was an actress on Disney’s now-cancelled spinoff series Girl Meets World, but is making a name for herself by being unafraid to speak up for herself, women, and underprivileged children. At the age of just 15, she has identified as an outspoken feminist and “insta-activist.” Rowan epitomizes the idea of using her fortune to help others and spread positive messages through fame and social media.

4. Cassey Ho
Also known as Blogilates, Cassey has been revolutionizing the world of workouts since 2009. From her humble beginnings on YouTube, Cassey has evolved into an social media fitness entrepreneur. She teaches classes and has her own line of merchandise. Her goal is to get everyone into fitness and to care about their health, and makes doing so fun and easy.

5. Lauren Singer
A resident of NYC, Lauren Singer is bringing tons of publicity to the concept of zero-waste. Under the brand “Trash is for Tossers,” she documents her life as an extremely conscious environmentalist. Having graduated from NYU with a degree in Environmental Studies, Lauren decided that the world desperately needs to do something about its consumption and waste habits. Thus, she took to an extremist lifestyle—one in which she produces the absolute minimum amount of waste possible. A minimalistic environmentalist, she is taking the world by storm and promoting self-examination in terms of how we treat the world around us. She is also the founder of The Simply Co., a line of household cleaning products that contain zero chemicals and all-natural ingredients.
