Ever wonder who the wonderful ladies behind the Her Campus Siena articles are? This year, you’ll find out! Check back in every now and then for our profiles of each member of the amazing Her Campus Siena team.Â
Name: Emily Boucher
Class/year: Sophomore/Class of 2020
Her Campus Siena: What is your major?Â
Emily Boucher: Environmental Studies
HCS: Why did you choose your major?
EB: I’m a tree hugger and love the environment (grew up in the Adirondacks)! Ever since I was little, I was obsessed with nature so this is just the perfect fit.
HCS: Why did you want to get involved with Her Campus Siena?
EB: I loved reading Her Campus articles anyway, so I finally decided to start writing myself.
HCS: What is your favorite part of working with Her Campus Siena?
EB: All of the girls are extremely nice and welcoming! I’m loving getting to know them.
HCS: What are you involved with on campus?
EB: Habitat for Humanity, Her Campus, National Society of Leadership and Success.
HCS: What is your favorite thing about Siena?
EB: How friendly everyone is and there is always something fun going on! The events they have are always enjoyable. The best event is when they bring in the therapy dogs because how can you not love dogs?
HCS: What would your memoir be called and why?
EB: It would be called A Day in the Life of an Uncoordinated Tree Hugger because the majority of my life is spent tripping over things, dropping things, being in sitcom-worthy awkward situations and loving nature.
HCS: Who is your role model and why?
EB: My Nana because she has nothing but a positive outlook on life. A negative word will never leave that woman’s mouth. She is the definition of happiness!
HCS: What’s your favorite food?
EB: Popcorn! The air popped kind though because sometimes movie theater popcorn can be overwhelming.Â
HCS: If you were stranded on an island, what three things would you bring?
EB: A boat, Niall Horan’s new album Flicker (or even better Niall Horan himself, whatever works), and my glasses so I’m actually able to see when stranded on this island.
HCS: What is your ultimate career goal?
EB: I would love to work for a conservation agency in Canada!Â
