It’s the event that we’ve all been waiting for — Mr. Siena! Get to know the contestants before you see them strutting their stuffs on stage. Next up is Jason Padilla, junior psychology major with English and Spanish minors!
Her Campus Siena: What made you want to become involved with Mr. Siena?
Jason Padilla: My favorite club on campus is Habitat for Humanity. I have been fortunate enough to go on service trips through the club every year at Siena and I am even co-leading a trip this year to Cape Fear, North Carolina. Mr. Siena has always been a great source of fundraising for the trips these past few years and the competition itself holds a very special place in my heart. Plus, its boatloads of fun and I can’t wait to get out there with the boys.
HCS: Have you done any service trips? If so, where?
JP: I have done trips to Marian County and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I have learned a lot of things, but by far the most important thing that I have learned is how doing good can bring people from different sides of the world together.
HCS: Are you doing any service trips in the spring?
JP: Yes! I am co-leading a trip to Cape Fear, North Carolina.
HCS: Let’s give the people some hints… what is your special talent that we might see at Mr. Siena?
JP: Let’s just say I’m not doing it alone ;)
HCS: What would you like to say to the people of Siena?
JP: I never trust a dog to watch my food And I like to use to the word “dude” as a noun, or an adverb, or an adjective And I’ve never really been into cars, I like really cool guitars and superheroes. And checks with lots of zeros on ’em. I love the sound of violins. And making someone smile.
