The most magical time of the year is coming up – Lark Fest! If you go to Siena you know that this is one of the most anticipated days of the year. For the past 35 years, Albany has closed down Lark Street and hosted the huge festival. It’s a day full of funky music, delicious food vendors, and artistic jewelry vendors – what isn’t to love?
Now, what do you wear to this most magical event of the year? Well, let me tell you. Right now the temperature seems to be in the low 60s for Saturday, which is a temperature we’re not really accustomed to yet. So, for all these outfits, think about bringing a suede or jean jacket to throw on.
This first outfit is perfect if you still have a killer summer tan. Since this outfit incorporates such light tones, it will enhance your rocking tan. It used to be a huge fashion no to wear white jeans after Labor Day. Trust me, you can get away with rocking your summer whites into the fall. If you want to make this outfit more “fall appropriate,” you could throw on an army green jacket. It’ll help you stay warm and it will pop against the light colors.Â
My favorite part about this outfit is the jeans! I’m very into girlfriend jeans as of late because they’re so comfy to wear, but you still look like you stepped off a runway show. Girlfriend jeans are a tiny bit tighter on your butt compared to boyfriend jeans. They still have the same relaxed feel as the boyfriend jeans but they just look more put together. If you cuff your pant legs and throw on a pair of strappy flats you’ll look like a million bucks.Â
I think I have fallen in love with these shoes. They look so comfy and chic I would want to wear them everywhere. However, if you decided to wear white shoes to Lark Fest be very careful. It seems like a great idea until you realize how much you’ll be walking around. I love this comfy top because it means you can eat as many chocolate-covered strawberries and bags of popcorn as you like!
Finally, a pop of color in this post! This shirt is perfect if you want to add some edge to your Lark fest outfit. Choker necklaces like this one are very in right now and they would look great with this low cut top. If you’re nervous about how low the top is, you can easily throw on a bandeau or even a black tank top under it.Â
If you think you’re going to get very hot dancing to the live music, maybe you can opt for a dress. I adorable this red one because of how vibrant it is. Throw on some comfy sandals and maybe that army green jacket we talked about earlier. I love this crossbody bag because it means you can dance without worrying where your purse is.Â
