Have a killer job or internship for the summer in the city?! We may know the best things to do from September to May, but we may have missed some of the best events the warm city has to offer in the summer months!
Live Music
Whether you make it to the Boston Calling Music Festival, catch a concert at Fenway, or just stop by a cafe with someone playing the guitar, there is nothing better than being outside in the sunshine with a cold drink listening to music! Â
Sailing on the River
Grab some friends and rent a small sailboat on the Charles. This is the perfect thing to do on a hot summer afternoon. Bring snacks, drinks, sunscreen, and a good playlist and watch the sunset roll in.
Get fresh produce at Haymarket
Since you probably won’t have a meal plan for the summer, it’s time to start learning to cook your favorite meals. Find a couple recipes you like on Pinterest and head over to Haymarket outdoor market. They have all kinds of fresh produce and more.

Walk on esplanade – the beautiful esplanade is the best spot for your afternoon walk/run. You get the cool breeze from the river and the beautiful view of the river. Â
Exercise Class in the Park
There are many parks in Boston that offer exercise classes throughout the week. Anything from Zumba to Yoga to HIIT class. Pay attention because many of them are FREE! Last summer, this was the schedule, so keep your eyes out for the new one this year!
Read in the Garden
If you have the day off or are looking for a quiet way to recharge for the new week, grab your favorite book and head to the Public Gardens. The beautiful flowers, greenery, and peaceful pond will be the perfect end to your week.
Hope you add these to your list of “to-do’s” in Boston this summer. They are sure to make it a summer full of sun and fun memories!
