This interactive exhibit celebrates the classic story of friendship and adventure.
Right from the beginning, it’s clear that this exhibition would be out of the ordinary. With wall-sized picture book drawings surrounding the whole show, viewers immediately step into the Hundred Acre Wood to experience the beloved children’s story about a boy and his teddy bear in Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring a Classic at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston.

Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring a Classic draws in museum-goers of all ages. While the show is about the backstory of A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh books as well as E.H. Shepard’s later illustrations for the stories, the exhibit is also geared towards children to encourage learning and play.

Throughout the show, there are fun places where kids can explore. From comfy spots such as a lush green rug or even a kid-sized bed, to reading picture books to a slide that accompanies the words on the wall that say, “Of course, there’s the coming down.” As kids explore the these aspects of the show, those who are young at heart are able to learn about how the story was conceptualized and how the illustrations were crafted.
