How to Fix Your End-of-Semester Slump in 5 Steps

You’ve worked hard this semester, so it isn’t a surprise that you are in a slump. You’re fatigued and drained from the numerous hours you spent on preparing for finals. Here are the 5 things I use to feeling amazing again!

1. Fix those bags under your eyes.

The warrior marks under your eyes are true testament to how much time you put into this semester. Constantly looking at them however, makes you even more tired. Fix them by using Alba Botanica’s Fast Fix for Puffy Eyes Cooling Eye-Revive Gel. The cooling gel revives your eyes, while the cucumber, green tea and caffeine help stimulate, energize and reduce puffiness. This product is hypoallergenic and is pocket sized so that you can take it on the go! All of Alba Botanica’s products are 100% cruelty free.

2. After you fix the bags, make your eyes seem even bigger with mascara!

One of the tricks I use to make me seem more awake than I actually am is using mascara! My go to product is Tarte’s Lights, Camera, Lashes™. This vegan mascara curls, separates and thickens your lashes because of its 360 degree magniLASH wand. What my favorite part is about this product is that it doesn’t’t clump!

3. Now, move onto the most important part of your body: your hands! Moisturize!

I can’t focus without my hands being smooth! I use Being’s Cloudberry & Lychee Blossom Hand Cream for a deep cleansing moisturizer! It makes my hands feel revitalized within seconds. An added bonus is the scent that makes me think of spring nights, which is what truly gets me through these dark winter days.

4.  Put on an inspiring shirt to make you motivated to do anything!

When I’m in a slump, I like to go to the gym and sweat it out. What motivates me through my workout are cute motivational tanks. My favorite is my #ActuallySheCan + Le Motto, Less Stress More Sweat tank. It makes me think about why I am actually at the gym, to not stress and to sweat out all of those bad toxins leading into my slump.

5. Fix anything that’s broken. Broken things lead to a broken mindset.

My go to, pocket size glue that I use to fix just about everything is Krazy Glue! It can bond to wood, metal, plastics, glass, you name it.

I believe that you can’t feel fixed, unless everything is repaired. Repair and mend your eyes, hands, body, objects and life to truly get yourself out of your end of semester slump!

I am a fan of experiences. I love to expand my knowledge anyway possible, whether that is traveling, attending a new class, writing an article for Her Campus, or on the soccer field. I'm determined to experience every aspect that life has to offer.
