KAY Jewelers x Her Campus

Graduation is a milestone achievement in any student’s life. As a student organization dedicated to empowering women on campus, my chapter wanted to celebrate the hard work of graduating seniors in a memorable way. My executive board and I couldn’t be more grateful for each one of our seniors and all that they have contributed to Her Campus at SJSU. They have poured their hearts and souls into this organization, dedicating countless hours and endless energy to make it what it is today.

As their time in college comes to an end, I think it’s important that we take a moment to reflect on all of their incredible efforts and contributions. With the help of KAY Jewelers, we were able to give our seniors a unique and personalized graduation gift that they will cherish for years to come.

Our Graduation Party

The day of the event was filled with excitement and anticipation as we prepared to welcome our guests. After many meetings with Her Campus Headquarters to plan this event to perfection, it was a delight to finally meet everyone in person. With each new element being set up, from the backdrop to the engraving station, the room started to come to life! We had spent weeks planning and coordinating the logistics of the event, and it was a relief to see everything come together so seamlessly.

Soon enough, our members started gathering outside of the room, patiently waiting for the event to start. We let everyone in with warm smiles and congratulated our seniors as they arrived. After everyone settled down, our executive team started running our chapter meeting where we played a fun game about the past semester, went over upcoming events, and shared any updates that we had. The rest of the time was dedicated to the celebration of our graduating seniors. We segued from our chapter meeting with a small speech from the executive board thanking the seniors for everything they’ve done.

Gorgeous Gifts from KAY

After our speech, a representative from KAY had a few lovely things to say about how the brand celebrates special moments with fine-crafted jewelry. She shared that everyone would be receiving a KAY gold paperclip necklace and graduating seniors would be receiving a yellow gold bar necklace with an engraving of their choice. Everyone’s face lit up with excitement, including my own. With all of our announcements coming to an end, we let everyone go to grab food, take pictures at the backdrop, and socialize.

One of the highlights of the event was seeing our seniors receive their engraved necklaces. They watched closely as the engraver put their blank necklaces through the machine and saw them come out with their chosen engraving. Each one was unique and special, with personal messages engraved onto them. It was clear that our partnership with KAY Jewelers was a great success, and we are grateful for their generosity and support.

As the event came to a close, we presented our other members with KAY necklaces as a token of our appreciation for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. It was a bittersweet moment as we said goodbye to our seniors, but we know that they are destined for great things and we can’t wait to see where their journey takes them.

Overall, the experience of partnering with KAY Jewelers to celebrate our seniors was truly delightful. It was a testament to the power of collaboration and the importance of recognizing and celebrating the accomplishments of others. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to make this event a reality, and we hope that it will continue to be a tradition that our chapter carries on for years to come. Congratulations to all of our seniors, and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors!
