Although many of us are still becoming familiar with our crazy new class schedules and planning next weekends adventures, it is never too soon to check out the Saint Joseph’s University Career Center. Many girls are not even familiar with how simple it is to make that first move and the impact it will have on your professional career. Fortunately, we want YOU to know first. The month of September is full of opportunities that all students are able to take advantage of and can potentially create less worry when crunch times come to securing next year’s internship.

How to Land an Internship

This is your first step to really understanding the process of engaging in your internship search. Why waste time searching with out any leads when the career center can really guide you in the right direction right away?

Mock Interview Day
September 16th, 9 am- 4 pm
Career Development Center at Moore Hall
Who knew you said “uhmmm” nineteen times in one minute? Let a mock interviewer from a real company critique your interview skills prior to going for your dream job.  P.S. The mock interviewers are usually recruiters from the firms themselves.

In order to conquer the career fair, preparation is so necessary. Have you ever thought of your own elevator speech? If not, think about a few of the most important things about yourself and condense those facts into a short introduction suitable for a potential employer.

Fall Career Fair
September 19th, 10 am-2 pm in the Athletic Center
Time to break out your best suit. This year’s career fair will be hosting over 150 potential employers all ready for your resume. All majors, all classes and everyone is encouraged to attend.
