Are you sick of the never-ending loop of top-40 radio hits constantly playing in your head? Do not get me wrong; I like the occasional jam out to Katy Perryâs âRoarâ as much as the next person, but sometimes you just have to switch it up. Check out these four websites for several different music genres to get you through the final stretch of the semester.
Â
Soundcloud
Soundcloud is basically the Twitter of the music world. You create an account, select which artists you want to follow, and right in front of you is a live stream of music. Soundcloud has every genre out there from metal to classical, and especially popular in the EDM scene. Soundcloud also has the same type of feature as your iTunes library in that it automatically will play the next item in your feed once the previous is over, making it super convenient for listening to while studying or doing homework.

Songza
Songza is similar to the music site we all know and love, Pandora, but with a little twist. Instead of just choosing an artist to base your playlist off of, Songza allows you to tell it exactly what you are doing and it creates a playlist around that. Whether you are studying and want music specifically without words, or you are getting ready to go out and want fun music, Songza can create the perfect playlist for you.
Â
ThisSongSlaps
ThisSongSlaps primarily consists of EDM and Hip Hop music. However if you do not usually listen to either of those types of music, think again. ThisSongSlaps is an awesome place to find unexpected remixes, like Afrojackâs remix of Miley Cyrusâ âWrecking Ballâ that everyone knows and loves.

FistInTheAir
FistInTheAir is the perfect place to find music to update your pregame playlist. They post links to the latest and greatest music in EDM, Hip Hop and pop. Every Monday they come out with what they call âMashup Mondayâ which is typically a mix of some mainstream music and some lesser-known music as well. Also, with a category titled âPartyâ, you will find links to whatâs new in the party music scene, like Sammy Adamsâ new single âAwesomeâ.

GoodMusicAllDay has been named the #1 college music website, and rightfully so. G.M.A.D. features a huge array of genres from acoustic, to house music, to mash-ups and reggae; you are bound to find something you like. They also post a video of the day and song of the day, and they have a âbest ofâ section that is updated weekly. This section is basically a recap of the past week; it gives the top three videos that were posted, an artist spotlight, and the best new mixtapes that came out that week. As of November 10, G.M.A.D. released a statement that they are launching a âcollege crewâ program that will allow college students to get involved in the music industry, while earning college internship credit. Learn more about the program and apply here:Â http://goodmusicallday.com/music/join-the-goodmusicallday-college-crew/
