Google Glass makes a brief appearance on the market.

On Tuesday Google made its widely hyped product, Google Glass available for purchase. The catch? The glasses were only on sale for one day. In the past Google Glass was only available for a select group of people.  But for one day anyone with $1,500 to spend could purchase the device and become part of “Google’s Explorer program” in which a small number of people get to test its capabilities before it is made widely available.

The “Average Barbie” secures funding.

The world seems to be ready for a doll with more normal proportions than the classic Barbie. This new doll will have proportions of an average 19-year-old woman. The point of the doll is to promote a healthy lifestyle and body image to young girls. The creator launched a website to raise the money he needed, and after five days more than tripled the initial goal of $95,000 for the project.

Young adults are more liberal.

A poll released this week says that the millennial generation, young adults ages 18-33, are much more liberal than older generations like the Baby Boomers. The study also revealed that this same group is  less religious, and less likely to describe themselves as patriotic. Millennial’s are also more likely to vote Democratic than older Americans. Because the Millennial generation is so liberal, their beliefs will lead to greater acceptance of gay rights and an “activist government.”

Find out how much of a Millennial you are here.
