It seems like the holidays were just yesterday… but now that they are gone, you realize that you are totally unprepared for the snow that awaits you back at campus.
What’s it still doing here anyway?
And now this is you.
Black ice? Slush? The gross salt that sticks to your shoes? Like getting to class isn’t hard enough.
So here are 10 tips you can use to survive the snow on campus:
- Take advantage of Skidmore’s window seats! Cover them with blankets and watch the snow fall.
- Just because the holidays are over doesn’t mean your spirit has to go away! Hang or keep your Christmas lights up in your dorm.
- Now is the perfect time to find your spirit sweater.
- And maybe slip into your favorite PJs
- Just because it’s cold out doesn’t mean you should skip exercising. Find new ways to move around!
- Be brave and play in the snow…at least once.
- Go to Burgess and get a hot drink
- Visit the Tang: Now that you are confined to the indoors, why not look at some art in the meantime?
- Get crafty: Make something, find a recipe, start doodling. This will help you fight boredom and feel accomplished.
- Lastly…get to know your college buddies better! Get a group together, order take out, and enjoy this time in your life!
