1. Put the phone down.
This one seems obvious but is often a lot harder than you think. One way to help is to delete the social media app you use the most. When I deleted Instagram and Twitter from my phone for a week, I missed a lot of memes and posts from my friends and was out of touch with what was going on in the world. But, there was a kind of beauty in that. It’s all about just getting rid of the urge to check your phone every couple minutes and it will increase your ability to focus.Â

2. Block out time to study, and stick to the schedule.
I am the queen of writing everything I have to do in my planner, freaking out about how much I have, and then still not getting it done. It is an endless cycle that I have been trying very hard to break, but still having a tough time with as new Netflix shows call my name. Try making a study plan and actually following through with it. I promise, your grades will thank you.Â
3. Prioritize Yourself.
You deserve time set aside simply for your mental health and happiness. Try not to get too caught up in grades, as often times they do not reflect the time and effort that was put into them. This midterms week too shall pass and at the end of the day your mental stability is more important.Â
