Fresh from the 2013 Grammy Awards, with its mix of newcomers and industry veterans, I’m inspired to “talk music” and share my excitement about some former bands and performers who are regrouping after hiatuses and putting out new albums.
Fall Out Boy
Guess who’s back? Back again..? Fall out Boy is back, tell your friends! After a four-year break, Fall Out Boy has announced that they’re back and ready to make music together. They’ve just released their new single, “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up).” If you like pop punk bands and are excited about their reunion, then you’ll be happy to hear that their next album is set for release on May 7th!
No Doubt
When Gwen Stefani reported that she was done making solo albums, the fate of No Doubt seemed sealed. Luckily, for ska-loving fans, the “Hollaback Girl” is back to making songs with—you guessed it—No Doubt. Last year, they released Push and Shove. With over 33 million albums worldwide, let’s hope they leave no doubt that they are back to continue producing that crazy-unique ska punk sound.
Justin Timberlake
From the New Mickey Mouse Club to the boy band ‘N Sync to solo artist, Justin Timberlake has reinvented himself quite a bit in his 32 years and won six Grammy Awards and four Emmy Awards in the process! Taking a break from music and concentrating on acting, Timberlake’s new single “Suit & Tie” is showing us that sexy is back yet again! His new album The 20/20 Experience will be released later this year. Go Justin!
Whether you’re having fun listening to new talent like Gotye and Ed Sheeran or you’re experiencing veteran artists reinvent themselves and produce quality tunes, the music scene is alive!
