It’s almost that time of year. No, not the holidays. Unfortunately you have to get through finals first. A great way to start ahead of the curve is to start getting organized so you don’t find yourself scrambling to find any missing pieces once it’s crunch time. Â
-  Clip binder clips to the side of your desk. Thread the end of plugs through the clips to keep cords and chargers more accessible instead of having to scramble around under your desk. Â
- Most grocery stores have packs of mason jars for sale. Pick up several for a cheap but chic way to organize writing utensils and art supplies. Decorate the jars with ribbons, stickers, or glitter if you’re feeling extra crafty. Â
- Use double stick tape to keep bins and containers in desk drawers from sliding around. Â
- Label all bins and baskets in order to stick to your new system of organization. Â
- Invest in a file box. Add folders to separate out papers from each class. Go crazy with color and decorations so its something you will want to keep clean and organized.  Â
- Use a dry erase marker to turn an old picture frame into a dry-erase to-do list for quick tasks. Â Â
- Attach loose clipboards to the wall above your desk. Use them to hold lose papers to keep your work space clear.  Â
- Pegboards are better than a traditional bulletin board. Attach baskets and office supplies the the peg boards to increase your organizational space without taking up more room on your desk.  Â
- Use an ice cube tray to store small items like paper clips, push pins, and loose staples. A muffin tin or a utensil organizer can also can double as an organizer. Â
- Small cookie sheets or baking pans can be used to divide and organize drawers, especially loose papers (like old tests and study guides). Â Â
