Tis’ the season…MIXER SEASON. After a long month back at home, everyone is ready for the spring term. The new pledge classes of the fraternities and sororities have been excited about this semester for months, and there is so much to look forward to in the spring!
1. Warm weather
While the first few weeks are always cold, the sun will be shining before you know it. Time to put away the boots and bring out those sundresses.
2. Reconnecting with your friends who were abroad last semester
Studying abroad in the fall is a very popular part of SMU so having all your friends return is something everyone looks forward to.
3. Mixers and formals
Mixers and formals are everyone’s favorite part of Greek life. It is an easy way to bond with your pledge class and meet all the cute frat boys. Big/little week is also approaching, and who doesn’t enjoy receiving different sweets and treats from your big?
4. Spring Break
Spring Break is one of the most anticipated events in the spring that everyone looks forward to, and it is closer than you would expect. From Miami to Cabo to the Bahamas, Spring Break is never a disappointment.
5. Mardi Gras
Mardi Gras in New Orleans is something a lot of SMU students attend in the spring, and it is definitely something you should experience at least once.
