I really love fried pickles, but hate how unhealthy they are. With this recipe, I can have the best of both worlds. Theyā€™re so easy to make and taste great! I like to put a lot of chili powder for an extra kick, but that part is totally optional.

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar of pickle spears
  • 1 cup of garlic and herb bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoon of chopped dill
  • 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 2 teaspoon of chili powder
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • Ranch dressing
  • Non-stick spray
  • Step 1: Pat the pickle spears dry with paper towels and preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Step 2: Mix together garlic and herb bread crumbs with chili powder, dill and cayenne in a plate. In another plate, whisk an egg to make everything stick, and use a separate plate filled with all-purpose flour.

Step 3: First, lightly coat the dried spears in flour, then dip the pickles in eggs. Finally, dredge the pickles in the bread crumb mixture until fully coated.

Step 4: Place the spears on a tray covered in foil, generously sprayed with non-stick spray, and bake the pickles for about 15 minutes, flipping the pickles about halfway through until they are golden and crispy.

Step 5: Serve your oven-baked fried pickles warm, with ranch dressing on the side.Enjoy!
